A Thing of Rare Beauty: Same, Same, But Different Challenge

Knowing that I was loved by a compassionate God made me feel like a caterpillar wrapped in a cocoon of love as I developed into the woman of God that I was born to become.

Like a caterpillar in an inhospitable environment, sometimes, I, too, have had to wrap myself in an orb to protect myself from the pain and trials of this life.

Yet, knowing that I was always covered by His protection, provision, and presence, just like the caterpillar metamorphoses into a beautiful butterfly, I, too, have become a rare thing of beauty: a woman who knows that she is worthy to be loved and appreciated.

Written for Same, Same, But Different from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Saturday Mix.

Words were blanket (covered), cushion (cocoon), cold (inhospitable), ball (orb), and person (woman).
