It’s tempting to follow the footprints of others in the snow.
But what if they take us places we don’t wish to go?
Maybe it’s safer to take the routes others have made,
To protect ourselves from getting lost or going astray.
But, we can’t allow the echo of other’s ambitions and plans
To define who we are or how to live over our lifespan.
Earnestly seek to make your own footprints in the snow,
Becoming an enigma to others as you flourish and grow.
Written for What Do You See #270 from Sadje at Keep It Alive. The Three Things Challenge #M931 prompts are earnest. echo, enigma.

Thanks for including the 3TC in your poem Regina.

Are you still quitting after M1000?

It will be my 2000th 3TC and I haven’t decided yet. It still seems a popular challenge so it would be nice to see it continue if I did.

Excellent poem, Regina. I also like to do WDYS and 3TC together – both of them are great.
