I don’t know how anyone finds fishing relaxing.
I find waiting for a fish on the line quite taxing.
After an hour, I find the whole enterprise tiring,
And I want to strap on a gun and start firing.
I don’t blame the fish for not taking the worm bait,
Just so I can have bream or trout on my dinner plate.
I understand their desire to remain alive another day,
Seeing their refusal to take the lure as a clutch play.
So, if my horoscope doesn’t predict a great haul,
I will say no to my friends for fishing when they call.
Instead, I will read a book, which is, to me, less of a grind,
Without the added stress that makes me lose my mind.

I LOVE this! You couldn’t pay me millions of dollars to go fishing–but I’ll read book after book, for FREE!
