The new library building is breathtaking.
I can just visualize the books that are inside.
Worldwide knowledge abounds in tomes,
And much learning from them is implied.
The suspense of which book you check out.
So many books that you can’t even enumerate.
Speaking to others is routinely not encouraged,
So, voices are lowered as people try to communicate.
I have a hunch that libraries will survive today,
Even though it’s more convenient to use Google.
But with no charge to use them and books galore,
They will be there for book lovers who are frugal!
Written for Wordle #339 from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie, celebrating Libraries Remember Day on September 11. The twelve prompts are in bold print. Viva la Libraries!
