As the train exited the underground, I noticed the little girl.
With purple and pink headphones on, she was silencing the world.
She looked out the window with awe as the other trains went by,
And I envied her ability to look as if she had no troubles in this life.
I remember when I used to find the world a fascinating place, too,
But bills, the news, politics, and other people tend to make me feel blue.
As I watched her enjoyment of life, with music playing in her ears.
I decided to regain the awe of the world I had lost throughout the years.

This is so true Regina that we lose our sense of awe and wonder as we become adults. Love your conclusion too. Thanks for joining in.
