Help! How Do You Find Time to Write and Meet Responsibilities to Others?

This is the third week of class, and I am so tired that when I get home from classes, all I can do is turn on my murder mystery shows and turn off any need to think. Pure entertainment is what I need, and, of course food. Thankfully, my husband is a great cook. I have completed two presentations, and still have one more this week. So, I have not blogged as I wished. I keep telling myself that I will create a schedule and write on Saturdays or Sundays, but I don’t find the time because of church duties.

Over 60-70 percent of our church left earlier this year because of a doctrinal disagreement. That level of loss means that the people who are workers find themselves playing many roles. For example, I am a Sunday School teacher who creates my own literature, I am now over the Nurture and Growth Ministry and still learning what that entails, and I am one of the ministers who preaches when the pastor is absent. I love it all! I am grateful to be able to step up and help out.

I must find a balance between all that I am doing so I can write. Writing on the blogs is like water to my soul, and I thirst for it when I cannot do it. Today, I have to write a paper due tomorrow night, but I was determined to write a few posts today. I need the boost to my ego when I complete a post and feel reasonably good that I may have encouraged or inspired someone or made them laugh. It is part of my DNA.

A lot of bloggers do multiple activities, and I admire you guys tremendously. So, I would love any advice on how to write and still meet the responsibilities that are important to me. I will do one more of the prompts for today and get to work on my paper. I just wanted to send a message today, so I don’t lose sight of what is a necessity for me.

  1. I am a spontaneous and creative type, so if you ever figure out the secret to maintaining consistency in your creative pursuits, I want to be the first to hear 🤣

  2. I’m so sorry about the exodus from your congregation. That does make it rough on the people remaining. I’m worried that you’ve taken on too many responsibilites. See if you can streamline them. Also, don’t feel pressured to post multiple times a day. When you’ve written a few posts, schedule them on different days so you get a break. Love you, Regina, but you’re only a human being. God will continue being sovereign.
