Uniting Our Physical Sight with Our Spiritual Sight Makes the World Clearer to “See”

Julia wanted the bandages removed so badly, for the world seemed so dangerous without her eyesight. She worried that someone could hurt her, and she couldn’t give an account of their appearance to anyone. She’d learned to watch people like a hawk because she had suffered from mistaking charm and beautiful smiles for goodness.

As she felt her face, she realized that our physical sight can be useless in seeing the intentions of people’s hearts. Humans also need spiritual sight, the ability to see the world clearly, through faith, intuition, and a deeper understanding of the world that encompasses both seen and unseen elements. One must unite spiritual sight and physical sight for a more uniform manner of seeing the world.

This time of waiting for the healing of her physical eyes was the perfect time to look inward at her heart and spirit and learn to pray and trust in the One who searches the hearts, minds, and ways of people in ways that our physical sight simply cannot. She relaxed, knowing that all would be well, in good time. There is no need to rush the healing process.
