Brian couldn’t get Annette out of bed. When he tried, she would stutter, “L-l-leave m-me a-alone!” He shuddered at the thought of surviving on just one salary. So, he doused her with cold water, and she spluttered, “What’s wrong with you?” He felt bad when her lethargy and sluggishness were diagnosed as Clinomania. She couldn’t help herself.
Fictional story written for the Weekend Writing Prompt #438 from Sammi Cox. The prompt is Clinomania in 57 words. The Three Things Challenge #MM216 Prompts are Shudder, Stutter, Splutter.
