Not every child learns who they are from a parent’s love.
They stagger through life trying to find where they belong.
The journey to find their value and worth is a long one,
Often, the voyage starts with the words from a song.
For me, hearing that the Lord had the world in his hands
Helped me to believe that I was loved, even though from afar.
I was assured that no one could snatch me from his grip,
And that the Creator of the universe loves us just as we are.
So, I choose to follow the paths where He leads me each day,
Believing I am safe, even though some trails are still hard to see.
Thankfully, I have arrived at the place where self-love and worth meet,
Realizing with joy and peace that I am right where I’m meant to be.
