Sometimes our hurts, heartbreaks, fears, and frustrations blind us to the positive aspects of our situations and we cannot get past thinking that God is causing us to suffer without offering us help for the journey ahead. Instead, we should take time to reflect on what is good in our lives and how God's hands of mercy and grace may be working for our good, to turn the situation around.
So, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire." Elisha knew that the battle was God's and not his, and that God had already supplied the help needed; what was needed was for eyes to be opened to see it.
