Tired from explaining his policies to the mayor, Sheriff Carlton Blake went into the bar for a drink before heading home. He was surprised to see a robot behind the counter rather than Old Bill, the former bartender. Old Bill always offered contrary and uncomfortable responses to Carlton’s complaints. Old Bill felt his age allowed him to say whatever he wished, even if the words were hurtful. But the robot listened and just kept pouring, without any condemnation or judgment. It was somewhat weird to speak and get no reply. However, Carlton liked the change.
