Standing by the ocean looking at the people cry, Kaley’s soul seeks peace for them. She remembers that three to five women die every day from domestic violence As a survivor, she’s asked to speak a word of comfort, but, how do you make sense of senseless acts? As she lights a candle and lays it on the water, she lets go of her fear and hopelessness. She says: Speak love to little boys and girls. Give them a sense of their value and worth. Discipline them with love and not with pain. Maybe then, it will stop.

First act of domestic violence: Cain killed his brother Abel out of jealousy and anger. Won’t it be a wonderful day when that spirit of conquered!

Great take on the prompt. Domestic is an evil that needs to be eradicated. For now, we continue to raise awareness and teach our children how to love and value themselves and others.

Very worthy sentiment. Actions like this tribute with the floating lanterns are more powerful than words sometimes.

Powerful message that can never be repeated enough in my opinion. No man, woman or child should have to live in fear of another human being.
