I want to thank Gaillovesgod for the nomination for this award. Douglas and I are honored that someone thought of us. In the past, we were nominated for words, but both of us were working and never found the time to write a post to acknowledge them, for which we apologize to the beautiful people who nominated us. As I sit here tonight, I thought to finally accept an award, to honor the one who nominated us.
God is so good, and He knows just what we need. This is a big boost to our belief that God can use us in a way that brings glory to Him and not to us. So, to God be the glory, and may His love fill the hearts of every blogger.
The rules of the award:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
2. Write a post to show your award.
3. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
5. Select 15 or more bloggers for the award.
6. Let each nominee know that you’ve nominated them and leave a link to your post.
A brief story on how this blog started:
This is Regina. I started the blog as a way to write and teach about the Lord, because I felt that I was not using my calling to teach. It began as a teaching blog, with posts that examined Scriptures and added lessons learned from them. But, those blogs were not read, so I decided to change the format and write stories of my life that illustrated the Scriptures, and particularly helped people understand that God is always with us. Those stories are meant to inspire, encourage, and give hope. Douglas joined me when he thought of studying Romans and other books and wanted a place to teach. Lately, I have been writing fiction, meeting the challenges from different people, but I am going to create a separate blog site for those,The Humble Word Nerd, and begin to stay true to this blog.
Two pieces of advice for new bloggers:
First, don’t become obsessed about likes and views. Simply write what you want people to know, what you feel will help someone else or will entertain them, or both. I believe the people meant to read our blogs will find us. Second, have fun, and don’t get stressed if you miss a day. The world turned before our blogs and will continue to do so if we stop blogging.
Bloggers that I nominate: I nominated blogs that I enjoy so much.
