As they stood looking up at the mural, Malia and Carlton saw that they had made it big! This was the first step in their ambition to have their sobriquet, The Freebirds, known throughout the world. Their journey began twenty years ago when Malia’s father gave her a guitar for Christmas, inspiring her love for composing songs. She would give impromptu concerts for her music, but her voice did not do her songs justice. Then she heard Carlton sing at a club in London, and she knew she had found the vehicle for her songs to light up the world.
