I decided to join this challenge, as I have a photo that I think will inspire people to want to travel. Also, the photo highlights the beauty and peacefulness of a body of water. Lastly, the sculpture invites reflection, mainly as you wonder what the sculptor was thinking and who was the inspiration or muse for the art.
As I stood before it on the Costa Blanca near Alicante, Spain, I marveled at the innocence of the young girl, with the Mediterranean Sea always to her back. The colors of the water, sky, plants, and the bricks were stunning! I kept wondering what it would be like to be immortalized in stone for future generations to gaze upon and admire.

A great photo! I wonder if she realized she really would be immortalized in stone – indeed such an interesting thought, tracing it down to the moment she sat there as a model..
