The Power of Books

For learning of people from other places,

There’s nothing better than a good book.

Just opening the first one was all it took

For me to know that I was forever hooked.

Books are intriguing in many ways,

From mysteries to historical romances.

When I find one that holds my attention,

It satisfies all of my wants and fancies.

So, give children books that they will like,

And let them read to their hearts’ content.

Oh, the places they will go in their minds

Will be time that is always well-spent.
