Relaxing At Home with A True Friend: Three Things Challenge, May 1, 2019

Another Friday night with no humans around,

But, I do have my newest and truest friend.

Maxwell, a beautiful white and black kitten,

Brings me pleasure that seems not to end.

He tries to help me eat my cupcake,

I have to keep it above his proud head.

Chocolate is lethal to cats like him,

At least that’s what my new vet said.

It’s not a romance, as we define them,

But for both of us, it was love at first sight.

So, I’ll wile away the hours playing with him,

For he keeps me from being lonely tonight.
