As this is one of the last Three Things Challenge prompts from Paula Light, I decided to write it, as I have missed so many in the past weeks with moving. The words are granite, zucchini, and lie.
Connie looked at the zucchini in the pot,
Hard as the granite around the kitchen sink.
She could lie that her daughter cooked it,
But that would cause quite a familial stink.
Zucchini isn’t meant for rank amateurs,
Who can hardly keep water from burning.
She knows that now, oh, boy and how,
As just looking at it sends her tummy churning.
