Slow Down, Father Time: OctPoWriMo 2019, Day 16

Father Time, I see you looming in the distance,

Reminding me time isn’t a limitless commodity.

I know that I should be fulfilling my bucket list,

Particularly the one considered as an oddity.

I want to visit the Hermitage Museum in Russia,

Viewing art that can’t be seen any other place.

Yet, with the current awful state of politics,

I’d better go soon, while there is still a human race.

So, Father Time, I’m trying to get ready post haste,

I just need a little more of your time to prepare.

For, like other Americans who watch the news,

I don’t know how much longer we can travel there.
