The library has been closed in my town,
And, for shame, I had to pay for my books.
But Amazon doesn’t give me the same feel,
Without little reading crannies and nooks.
Yet, there is no reason to keep them closed,
For everyone social distances by choice.
We find our books and a quiet place to sit
And get away with only our mind’s voice.
So, if there is any place that we readers
Need more than ever while staying wary,
It is that wondrous place where we escape,
So please hurry up and open the library.

Hi Regina, I think this thought is on so many minds. A friend of mine is a Librarian at a TAFE College and has been working as her library offers an on-line program for students. But won’t we be glad when we can resume our lives in safety.

Oh yes, Michael, we will. I thought that plagues were history lessons, and that we were too advanced in the world on knowledge to have to live through something like this pandemic. I am utterly shocked.
