Some may call me obdurate in my belief
That babies everywhere aren’t born full of hate.
Someone has to teach those little ones to loathe others
For racism and other isms to carry a lot of weight.
I love to see the toddlers laughing and hugging,
Not mindful of any kind of differences there.
So I am persuaded that we can just as surely
Teach our children to love others and care.
