Inheritances that Will Not Rot nor Rust

Granny had nothing to bequeath us

In terms of material goods and cash.

But, she left a legacy of being honest

That is much better than an art stash.

She taught us by her examples

To always treat people with decency.

Even with women who talked about her,

She cared for them with much frequency.

I won’t get rich with her legacy,

But in her lessons I can always trust.

She left us much more than money,

Meaning riches that will never rot nor rust.
