Written for the RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge #341: frost and glint. On this day we celebrate the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King’s holiday, I am reminded that, even in the face of weapons, they marched. Seeing those weapons at the U. S. Capitol Building reminded me that, as a black woman, I can’t allow myself to give in to the fear of white supremacy in high places.
