Kendall was overjoyed at the delicious thrill of rappeling down the mountain! Reputed to be a workaholic, in truth, there was nowhere on the planet that he would rather be right now.

He had worked extreme hours because the other two members of his team, Jeff and Michelle, were persistent in their efforts to earn the top campaigns and commissions that typically were assigned to him. The three formed a competitive work triangle, each trying to outdo the other.

But, on last Tuesday, Kendall had awakened and couldn’t remember what city he was in or what client he was representing. Tiredness bent his body, and when he looked in the mirror, he saw a man older than he should be. He’d asked himself, “If I could be doing anything else at this very moment, what would it be?” The answer wasn’t long in coming: rappeling down the side of a mountain!

He had quit his job that day! Now, here he was in the beauty of nature, and he wasn’t going to let any thoughts of what he gave up spoil the joy and peace he felt at this moment.
