Always Prove Them Wrong: Three Line Tales #267

Charlotte ambivalently hopped home with just one tennis shoe on, scared to tell Mama that she didn’t know where the other shoe was, but also still celebrating that she’d had the courage to accept the dare from Teana to run over the sands at the beach and into the ocean.

She was proud of herself, because Mama had told her countless times that she was too clumsy to accomplish anything in life.

So she had ran until she lost one of her shoes, and then kept running, not letting anything stop her, for she was determined to prove Mama wrong.

Fictional story written for the Three Line Tales Challenge #267 from Sonya at Only 100 Words.
