The Absurdity of Love

I do not wish to disparage love,

For love makes the world go round.

Yet it makes us such different people,

As our emotions tend to come unbound.

That one person’s kiss could bring us joy,

Of all the human race who inhabit the earth,

Seems crazy, to me, but I thank God

For that one person who recognizes my worth.
