Worship is Easy in a Garden!

To see the young boy grinning,

Holding two warty frogs in his hands,

Gave me so much pleasure and peace,

Almost more than anyone could stand.

The growth of the flowers around me

Served as a prerequisite to the joy I felt.

And the blow to my heart was so complete

That in worship to God, on my knees I knelt.

This statue really touched me, as we walked through the Atlanta Botanical Gardens last Sunday. The pure joy on his face reminded me that we are never too old to enjoy life to the fullest. Indeed, we are commanded to do so, and where better to do that than in a garden with a riot of wonderful colors and such beautiful flowers. I could not help but think, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1).

Fandango prompt is Worship. Ragtag prompt is Blow. Word of the Day Challenge is Warty. Your Daily Prompt is Prerequisite. The Daily Spur prompt is Growth.
