Staring into Faces

Carol struggles in not knowing her provenance.

She often barrels into people who try to dodge her,

Staring into the remarkable faces along the seashore.

But the reality is that the faces are starting to blur.

The light and dark play tricks with her eyes,

But there’s no finale to hopes that her family she’ll find.

Like placing a lantern in the crevice of a mountain,

She seeks to illuminate who she is and have peace of mind.
