It may seem unusual to place two bikes in a tree,
But it’s our way of remembering when we were carefree.
We went on long trips for days and weeks on end.
Oh, how we would like to do those tours again!
It mattered not the route or even how fast the pace.
What mattered to us was that we were in a new place.
But old age has caught up with our joints and our knees.
So, we must exit this part of our lives as things start to freeze.
One day, we will pass the bikes to our kids or a cycling team.
But for now, they are parked where we can sit and daydream.

A lovely take Regina. Sweet memories are worth reliving. Thanks for joining in.
