Dogs are Truly the Higher Species: What Do You See #213

Bailey lay in the sand, suffering the doldrums because of the craziness of the humans arguing politics at the beach around him. He couldn’t understand how they could be so angry in the bucolic setting of mountains, lots of trees, warm sand, and the ocean. What is it with these guys? Can’t they just relax and enjoy the beauty around them? Chet and I just want to run around and sniff each other and maybe find a great spot to do our business! And they classify us as the lower species!

But, no, we can’t play together because of their stupid arguments! We dogs know that when you come to the beach, you should be playing, enjoying the earth and all it has to offer, and smiling at each other. This is the time to strut around like a fashionista, not a time for one-upmanship about the economy or some other irrelevant, messy stuff. He looked at Chet and the other dogs and rolled his eyes, communicating, “Well, they are still evolving! So, we have to make allowances for them!”

Written for the What Do You See #213 from Sadje at Life After 50 for Women. Fandango One Word Challenge is Doldrums. Ragtag Daily Prompt is Bucolic. The Word of the Day Challenge is Fashionista. The Daily Spur prompt is Classify.
