Traveling Means Finding Places Where We Can Be Who We Are

I am in the liminal state of wanting to stay and needing to go.

I want to hit the road and find new out-of-the-way places.

There is no substitute for traveling the road less taken,

To do new things and see a few unfamiliar faces.

I want to go where there are no crowds of people,

Just open roads with mountains in the distance afar.

I’ll try new kinds of meat and meet new kinds of folks,

And team with strangers to ensure we can be who we are.

Written for Photo Challenge #507 from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Fandango One Word Challenge prompt is Substitute. Ragtag Daily Prompt is Liminal. The Word of the Day Challenge is Crowd. The Three Things Challenge #M640 prompts are meet, meat, and team.
