Dreams Are Persistent Entities, Thankfully!

Amsterdam, May 2023

As Carole sat and waited for the restaurant to open, she remembered her dream of one day owning her own restaurant. But cancer intervened just when she had the occasion thirteen years ago, and all of her money went into medical bills to stay alive. She hadn’t thought much about the dream recently, but now she felt the nudging of her heart to follow it, not let it die.

She had managed to save a little money and loved cooking. She liked the joy on people’s faces when they felt the love she figuratively placed in every tasty dish through prayer for the dish and the diner. As she entered the restaurant, she smiled and decided that maybe dreams don’t have to die just because they get postponed.
