Tranquil Places, Joyful Moments

I don’t need empirical evidence to know what I feel

When I watch the sun rising in a picturesque place.

My soul feel the cord that connects me to the universe,

And I am able to become one with earth, water, and space.

Like the actor standing aft on the ship’s stern,

I look at the horizon as the sun’s golden rays emerge.

I feel a joy that fills me with the infinite possibilities

Of life lived peacefully, as my sorrows and griefs are purged.

Written for the What Do You See #269 from Sadje at Keep It Alive. The Fandango One Word Challenge prompt is Cord. The Ragtag Daily Prompt is Picturesque. The Daily Spur prompt is Empirical. The Three Word Challenge #M927 prompts are able, aft, and actor.
