The Magnetism of the Moon Leads to Peace and Solitude

Charles headed home after a boring meeting filled with long-winded speakers whose perception of the world as fair was very different from his own. The other stockbrokers bought into the lies that everyone has equal opportunity to be great. They believed that they are lions of industry and legends in their own time, but really they are just alley cats with no sense of justice.

Driving down the road beside the lake, Charles’ thoughts ceased as he saw the moon seeming to climb from behind the hills he was approaching. Although he wanted badly to get home, he stopped, for moments so lovely seemed to happen less and less in his life.

Leaving the door open, and very carefully walking around the car to reach the top of the hill, Charles sat o down and enjoyed the pristine beauty of the moon, unspoiled by man-made structures and garbage created through the creation of unnecessary items that end up on trash heaps.

He sat and enjoyed the solitude and joy that entered his soul. He renewed his vow to work for equality and justice for everyone. He was enthralled at the magnetism of the moon in its ability to stop one in their tracks and cause them to sit and contemplate their life and comprehend where change was needed to live a peaceable existence with others.
