A Story of Hope for Fandango’s Story Starter #190

Porto, Portugal

In the middle of a crowd, Blake felt an insistent tap on his shoulder. When he turned around he saw…the love of his life, Anna-Elizabeth. At first he thought she was a ghost because of his many memories of her that had hindered his ability to find another love. Shivers ran through his body like someone doused him with ice and water. As he looked at her kitted out in turquoise, he wondered how he could have let such a jewel leave his life.

There in the bright sunshine, he clasped her hand, told her how he’d never forgot her, and asked if it was too late to earn her trust and love. Anna-Elizabeth smiled and said, “Thoughts of you have dogged my life, too, so when I saw you miraculously standing there, I said maybe he is still single, and we can try again to ace this romance thing.” Joyfully, they went to a nearby park to sit and talk.

Fictional story written for Fandango’s Story Starter #190. The prompt is in bold. Also the Monday Wordle #414 prompts are ace, bright, clasp, dog, earn, find, ghost, hinder, ice, jewel, let, and kit. I believe in miracles and second chances for love that’s meant to be! I am a romantic today, although I wasn’t always one.
