Before another day that the earth completely revolves on its axis,
I will find the courage to open the door that leads to my tomorrows.
With patience and faith, I will give my inner kid a chance to grow,
And become the consolation I searched for to overcome my sorrows.
I will leave the house that has become my hiding place from the world,
Realizing that I am a wondrous jewel deserving of happiness and joy.
It’s so easy to let the door stay closed and accept life as it comes,
But true living requires that we take risks, our fears to destroy.

What a lovely message. I especially like “I will find the courage to open the door that leads to my tomorrows.” So many times we shy away from taking a risk or trying something new, afraid of something that might never happen, afraid of failing or being judged. Instead let’s take a deep breath and step forward. Thank you for the poem.
