Some people may prefer to travel virtually,
Using their computers while still in their homes.
They have no worries of missed or canceled flights,
For their couch is as far as they wish to roam.
But I want to smell the sea and feel its mists,
Experiencing new cultures and peoples, too.
I want to spend hours in museums and parks,
No matter the inconveniences that I may go through.
I want to actually move from place to place,
Recognizing that there are huge risks involved.
But the thought of traveling only vicariously,
Leaves, for me, too many mysteries unsolved.
