Regina held his hand, staring at Douglas, a special sweetheart of a pirate who’d captured her heart. She’d placed a padlock there after surviving the pain of men with sugar-coated lips of deception. But he made public declarations of her value to him, playful yet serious. Thankfully, she saw he was different.
