When I retired from teaching college students and being able to give them life lessons from my own life, I wanted a way to still share stories that encourage, inspire, and give hope to others, as a way of showing that we can endure much and still be joyful in this life. I try to write what people can actually use, even in the stories or poems I create.
I lacked parents who shared wisdom about what to look for in a mate, when to walk away from bad situations, or how to overcome trials and keep putting one foot in front of the other until we reach our destinations. I envied bloggers who shared how close they were to their fathers and mothers, who helped them recognize pitfalls so they could avoid them. I realized that I could do the same thing through my blog posts for people like me who had no wisdom-bearers.
I also wanted to build people’s faith by sharing how my spiritual beliefs had helped me through many dilemmas. I didn’t want to proselytize anyone, but demonstrate the correlation between my faith in God and my patient endurance through all I had experienced. In my blog posts, where there is pain, I want to bring hope; where there is despair, I want to encourage belief that a change will come; and where there is lack of self-esteem, I want to inspire others to know that we all are in the world because we are valuable to others. To keep holding on is the message I hope my readers take away from my writing.

Thank you Regina. You are doing this and more. The stories from your life inspire us and show us how obstacles can be overcome with courage. Bravo my dear sister
