Sometimes our hurts, heartbreaks, fears, and frustrations blind us to the positive aspects of our situations and we cannot get past thinking that God is causing us to suffer without offering us help for the journey ahead. Instead, we should take time to reflect on what is good in our lives and how God's hands of mercy and grace may be working for our good, to turn the situation around.

The author of Hebrews recommends laying aside all of the weight, including our sins, that encumber us in the race to eternal life. These actions allow us to demonstrate faith in Jesus Christ, whose birth, death, and resurrection is the basis of our faith in God and our belief in a better home to aspire to, one not made by human hands. Stripping off the weight means letting go of our hurts, heartbreaks, and humiliations; our broken dreams, broken hearts, and broken promises; and our fears, failures, and frustrations. This emotional baggage often hinders our faith, and causes us to doubt the One who paid the ultimate price for our redemption.

So, Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire." Elisha knew that the battle was God's and not his, and that God had already supplied the help needed; what was needed was for eyes to be opened to see it.
So, in addition to Huldah, women have been prophets speaking for my Father throughout time, including Miriam, Deborah, and Isaiah's wife in the Old Testament, and Anna and the four daughters of Philip in the New Testament. In Nehemiah 6:14, Noadiah is mentioned as a prophetess who was among the people trying to intimidate Nehemiah! But we seldom hear their stories preached, meaning that girls and women who feel called to the ministry often do not know that they are part of a grand tradition of daughters called to speak for our Father. God the Father has allowed His daughters to be about His business, and it is imperative for all people today to be aware of this fact. Like Huldah the prophetess, I am His daughter, and I take great pleasure in teaching His words.
