When Life’s Journey is Short

I wrote this for Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Tale Weaver #197, a look at someone’s life journey, and I wanted to share it with our followers on this blog. I had wrote about my son but I never put a picture to accompany the blogs, because I couldn’t cope with seeing it, but now I am better at it. I still have not had the courage to put his picture downstairs in the living room. I still cannot handle that just yet, after 12 years. I am trying, though.

  1. Thank you for sharing your baby with us. I can only imagine what it must feel like not to hear his voice in your ears.. I have a little girl, her name is Grace, who was given little hope from birth. Too little… The day her father and I took her home from the hospital the NICU doctor looked me dead in the eyes and told me to hold her and love her and keep her comfortable, but not to hold any expectations for the life we had brought into this world not quite six weeks earlier. I’m August of this year she turned nine. Every time I look at her I see exactly the miracle in her that I can imagine you saw in your son. As is my Grace, you little boy was and is and will always be your biggest blessing. I am proud of you for being able to keep him alive in your heart as well as the words written here. 💗
