These days, everybody thinks they are a theorist,
Able to answer the big questions of the day.
No education needed for most of them,
As they shop for people who think their way.
It’s funny to me that even with the evidence,
People continue to see facts as fictions.
And if you try to convince them of the truth,
You will fail to change their convictions.
How can a nation heal its divisions
When no one accepts the middle ground?
It is my sincere hope for all of us
That soon civility and kindness will abound.
