I saw the door below in Quarteria, Portugal. I liked the beauty of the colors of red, green, and white. The red was especially significant, as it was the location of the local communist party. As a retired liberal, Christian sociologist (I know, it sounds like an oxymoron!), it appealed to me. The fact that it was somewhat drab and the upkeep missing spoke a lot about the shape of modern-day communism.

That’s a great find. 🙂 Last year I found the old headquarters of the Italian Communist Party in Rome and it was in a similar state. Will post its door one day.
