I walked through the magnificence of the forest,
Seeking a tranquil place to sit and reflect.
I found a well-hidden spot through the trees
That in its solitude and beauty was perfect.
There was a cleared space next to the water.
Everything had a lovely purple sheen.
It felt like a place reserved for royalty,
One of the loveliest places I’ve seen.
As I sat in the calmness of this grassy den,
I was reminded of my Savior’s request:
Come unto me, all you who labor and
Are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
It was a moment that I didn’t want to end,
For there I felt that my spirit had soared.
Beside the still waters, I talked with Jesus,
And my soul was rested and restored.

I love this photo. At first glance the trees had shades of lavender throughout them, and yet, looking again they appeared brown. It was like a quick glance of heaven in the midst of the day
