I Will Have Tea, Thank You: Tale Weaver #220

I would much rather drink tea in the mornings,

But, people seem to be disturbed by the request.

They stand around wondering what to do,

Trying to figure out how to honor my behest.

This is America, not London, I am often told

By friends who cannot find a single tea bag.

I hurriedly tell them that I have my own tea,

As their bountiful affection for me starts to sag.

So, I make it a point to fill my suitcase for trips,

With mint, chamomile, sweet dreams, and peach,

For I have found that no matter where I travel,

Herbal teas are nearly always out of reach.

  1. I know how you feel Regina, we are going away next weekend and will take our own supply of herbal tea – Tension Tamer is our favourite. Maybe that says something about me?? Thanks for sharing your thoughts this week.
