Summer Love in Red and Green: Heeding Haiku with Chevrefeuille

Red hunk of sweetness.

Caterwaul echoes of joy.

Mouths covered with juice.

Written for Heeding Haiku with Chevrefeuille from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie: Summer love. Also July Writing Prompt from Putting My Feet in the Dirt: caterwaul echoes. I loved the few times we could afford watermelon. We ate it right to the core, trying not to miss any of that rare sweetness.
