My husband and I went to hear the orchestra play.
I couldn’t wait to experience the program for the day.
The orchestra started playing, and silence filled the place.
But, something was making by blood pressure race,
It was my husband sleeping, I gave him a good shake,
Then, he started snoring, and I couldn’t get him to wake.
But, the cymbals clanged, and as the noise reverberated,
My husband woke with a start, and hissing, him I berated
For embarrassing me to death in such a public display,
So I tend the symphony alone now, for it’s the best way.
