Being a Soul Mate is Wonderful: Sunday Writing Prompt

He calls me his pearl, something extraordinarily beautiful to him.

Before him, I hadn’t been viewed as beautiful, not even by me.

So, each day, I remember to love him as fully as possible,

For I couldn’t imagine life without the look of love in his eyes.

I still stand in awe that he chose me from thousands of choices,

A woman of a different race, social class, upbringing, and culture.

That he could look past my skin color and see his future astounds me.

So being his soul mate is wonderful, and I thank God for our love and life.
