Why must I face racism?

I was watching the movies A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood last night, which I received for my birthday, June 20th. It made me think of how we need a Mister Rogers now so badly, or we needed those watching him years ago and idolized him now were to act out what he taught.
His show also created the role of Officer Clemmons and made history as the first African American actor to have a recurring role on a children’s program.
I haven’t seen this before but I may try to find it.
I like anything that has to do with history. I’ve especially been interested in African American history for a long time, ever since I took a Reconstruction American History course in college.

Praying that we can learn and change. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My mother was a mixture of fairness tinged with racism of her own. I was always told “be nice to them, but don’t associate with them.” And I NEVER understood that. At all. God made us all. And so I follow blogs of folks who don’t look like me. Because I want to learn and be open. You are precious. So glad I found your blog.
