The Beauty of a Hotel Room

Photo from Bikurgurl

Spending my days exploring the world,

Knowing you will be waiting as night falls.

A quiet place to rest my weary body and spirit

When the day is over and sleep calls.

A place to meditate and relax when I’m away,

How quickly you become like home.

Cleaned each day by the work of others’ hands,

You’re made comfortable while I’m gone.

I throw my souvenirs haphahazardly about you,

And no one is there to nag me or to complain.

You don’t care if I leave crumbs in my bed,

You just hope that I will visit again and again.

Written for the 100 Word Wednesday Challenge #160 from Bikurgurl. Ragtag prompt is Quiet.
